If you enjoy being outdoors or prefer the warmth of the indoors we have something for you. Vail offers 5,289 acres of free riding terrain and is the largest ski resort in North America. We are here to help you get the most from your vacation at this wonderful resort and it's town. With over 300 inches of snow falling each year Vail is the ski resort not to be missed. Vail now offers more grooming than any other resort on the planet.

 

Here, we play all day and well in to the night. When you are done on the slopes or with your activities enjoy the world class restaurants and shopping we have to offer. Make your stay in Vail complete with some exciting activities such as snowmobiling, dogsledding and tubing. Whatever your hearts desire we will take care of the details for you. We are here to plan your perfect vacation.

 
Skiing
Ski and Snowboard School:
Private or group instruction is available for all skill levels. The instructors are here to help you make the most of these fabulous mountains and the endless terrain to offer. Lessons can be purchased in half or full days. No matter what you wish to accomplish with your lessons, explore new terrain, perfect your form, or throw some tricks in the halfpipe, Vail offers endless opportunities.
 
Snowcat Skiing Trips
Snow-Cat Skiing:
Enjoy deep powder in the backcountry only available to you by snow-cat. Single day trips operating on Ptarmigan pass between Vail and Summit County are available. Transportation is provided from anywhere in Vail and Beaver Creek. Lunch is included for you and avalanche beacons are provided for each person. A minimum of 6ppl per tour is required.
Heli Skiing
Heli Skiing:
Be amazed by the highest helicopter-accessed terrain in North America. Single, two or three day packages are available for you to choose from or if you prefer we can book a private charter.  You are guaranteed 6 runs per day, giving you approximately 14,000 vertical feet of skiing and riding. All safety equipment is provided for you and your adventure is lead by a professional guide. A buffet is provided for you and your guests at the end of your skiing
Ice Climbing
Ice Climbing:
East Vail is renowned for ice climbing. Different ice climbs form each year. A variety of climbing classes are offered and guests do not need any prior climbing experience to participate. All your equipment is provided for you and the experienced guides will make your climb one that you won’t forget.
 
Adventure Ridge
Adventure Ridge
December 19, 2006 – January 6, 2007: 7 nights a week through.
Open Tuesday's through Saturday's for the remainder of the winter season through April 14, 2007. Activities offered at Adventure Ridge in Vail include Tubing, Ski Biking, Kid’s Snowmobiling, Ice Skating, Snowshoeing, Orienteering and Bungee Trampolines. Please call us for pricing.

Thursday Night Lights
Thursday Night Lights:
Presented by Volvo, the Official Vehicle of Vail Resorts
This great event happens weekly throughout the season and is fun for the entire family.  Thursday Night Lights is a glow stick ski-down to music with a fireworks display afterwards.  Anyone can participate as long as they are an intermediate or above skier. Register at 5:30pm on Thursdays at the Beaver Creek Children’s Ski School.
 
Dogsledding
Dogsledding:
Enjoy dogsledding at historic Camp Hale, the former home of the 10th Mountain Division. Dogsled tours include transportation, a professional guide, snowsuit, and boots. The morning tour includes lunch while the afternoon tour includes a hot beverage. The morning tour picks up at 8:00 AM and the afternoon tour picks up at 1:30 PM, both are seven days per week. 48 hour cancellation policy applies. Cancellations within 48 hours will be charged 100% of the tour price. *Each sled holds two adults and one child (4 feet tall and under) with a combined weight of less than 400 pounds. Children under 3 are free.
Snowmobile Tours
Snowmobile Mobile Tours:
Take a trip through the White River National Forest on a new Polaris Snowmobile. Snowmobile tours includes transportation, professional guide, snowmobile, snowsuit, boots, and helmet. Children must be 14 years or older to drive their own snowmobile. Trips operate seven days per week, reservations are required. Please bring a warm hat, gloves, sunglasses or goggles, and your camera. All ½ Day AM trips include Lunch.
 
Ice Skating
Ice Skating:
The Black Family Ice Rink is located right in the center of Beaver Creek Village.  Open daily throughout the winter. Skates can be rented at the rink. The rink's dimensions are 150 feet by 65 feet. In Vail you can ice skate on top of the mountain and enjoy the amazing scenery from Adventure Ridge.
 
Thursday Night Lights
Fly Fishing:
Enjoy fly fishing in the winter with great wade or float trips. All the necessary equipment is provided for you. The knowledgeable guides will take you to some fantastic fishing spots near Vail and Beaver Creek.
Starry Night Horse Drawn Sleigh Dinners
Starry Night Horse Drawn Sleigh Dinners:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday Evenings, 6:30PM – 9:30PM. Take a sleigh ride in the crisp mountain air and starlit skies for memories of Colorado that will last a life time. After the sleigh ride enjoy a drink by the fireplace, listen to live music and roast marshmallows. This is a great activity for individuals, small groups and families. Reservations are required, includes transportation, sleigh ride dinner and entertainment
Horseback Riding
Horseback Riding:
Take a one or two hour trail ride in the Vail Valley through snow covered trees. Children must be 7 years or older to go on the rides.  There are a variety of morning and afternoon rides. You will need to wear long pants, boots or closed toe shoes, gloves and a jacket. Bring with you sunscreen, sunglasses and your camera!
Hot Air Balloon Rides
Hot Air Ballooning:
Take a hot air balloon over the fabulous Eagle River Valley and enjoy the Rocky Mountain vistas from the air. Sturdy shoes are important. Water repellent boots, hiking or walking shoes with warm socks are best.  Open toed and high-heeled shoes are not allowed.  Dress for early morning temperatures and "layer" to stay comfortable as the day warms. Sunscreen and a camera are also great to bring. The flights begin shortly after sunshine, please allow 4 hours for the excursions. All flights are weather dependant. A 24 hour cancellation policy applies. Cancellations within 24 hours will be charged 100% of the tour price.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing:
If you can walk you can snowshoe. Vail offers an abundance of snowshoeing trails with breathtaking views. Let a guide show you what it is all about. They can teach you about the animal tracks you encounter along the way as well as any live animals you might see. Then enjoy a picnic with you guide out in the backcountry before heading back home.
 
Hut Trips
Hut Trips:
The 10th Mountain Division Hut System is located in central Colorado between Vail, Beaver Creek and Aspen in the White River National Forest.  Styled after the European Haute Route and the tradition of hut-to-hut travel, 29 huts provide overnight shelter for seasoned backcountry skiers, riders and snowshoers.  Trips are designed to accommodate a variety of interests and ability levels, from a basic introduction to backcountry skiing as well as more challenging trekking and mountaineering style trips that visit numerous huts.  Packages range in price and vary in difficulty and total mileage.  Professional guide service, all meals, supplies and sleeping bags are included.
Carriage Rides

Enjoy a horse drawn carriage tour through Vail Village. These tours are reminiscent of the old "one horse open sleigh" rides, feel the cool breeze and wind in your hair that takes you back to the gentle warmth of times past.
